Components of the Wellness & Life Skills Brain Injury Coaching Program

The Wellness and Life Skills Brain Injury Coaching Program consists of two main components. The first component of the program involves eight educational sessions, which are focused on the functional aspects of one's daily routine such as self-care, sustaining attention, memory, time management, organization, and transportation. Completion of the eight educational sessions is strongly recommended in order to gain maximum benefit from the second component of the program.

After the eight sessions, the second component of the program incorporates the interpersonal aspects of the person's life such as improving communication skills, setting new goals and expectations for yourself and support system, identifying how roles have changed, setting boundaries, self-advocacy and developing a new, healthy identity. It is beneficial to include family participation in both components of the program whenever possible. At the end of every Brain Injury Coaching session, you will have action steps to complete or practice between visits to generate positive momentum toward your goals.

If you or a loved one has suffered a mild to moderate traumatic brain injury, Dr. Robb is ready to assist you. With her expertise and experience, she understands the challenges, fears and obstacles that individuals and their families may be facing, and she has the knowledge, skills, and compassion necessary to help cope with them.
